Itinerary
Sunrise at Tatio Geysers: Early departure (around 5:00 am) to the Tatio Geysers at 4,200 m. Watch fumaroles and boiling pools illuminated by the sunrise. Breakfast at Geyser Blanco: Enjoy a hot breakfast in the unique setting of Geyser Blanco, surrounded by geothermal activity and mountains. Putana Wetland Wildlife: Continue to the Putana Wetland (Vado de Putana), where vicuñas, flamingos, and Andean foxes can be observed with volcanoes as a backdrop. Visit to Machuca Village: Stop at Machuca, a small Andean village known for its adobe church, traditional houses, and llama skewers prepared by locals.
Recommendations for your trip
Bring very warm layered clothing (temperatures at the Tatio Geysers can drop to –15 °C), comfortable walking shoes, at least 1 liter of water per person, sunscreen, hat, and gloves for the early morning.
